The Beauregard Parish Assessor is responsible for discovery, listing, and valuing all property in Beauregard Parish for ad valorem tax purposes. This includes all real estate, all business, movable property (i.e. personal property), and all oil and gas property and equipment. As your assessor, I am responsible to the citizens of Beauregard Parish to ensure all property is assessed in a fair and equitable manner.
The assessor ensures that the assessments are done according to the Constitution of the State of Louisiana and the Revised Statutes that are passed by the Legislature. The assessor is responsible for filing the tax roll annually with the Louisiana Tax Commission. Also, the assessor must maintain maps (i.e. GIS), land descriptions, and ownership inventory on each parcel of land in Beauregard Parish. I will continue to have an open-door policy for anyone to discuss their assessment as to its accuracy and fairness.
